Along with the ornament, the ornament had to be attached as its own layer, in the beginning and didn't have the deep line weight to make it stick out so it looked like it just blended in at first.

with shiny fabrics it helps to have some sharper/less blended sides! think about where the fabric folds; let the parts that drape have a gradient of shadow, but where the fabric folds make sure to put the shadow and highlight right up against each other
