Fairy prince for my poll. ... I'm a 90s kid, I grew up with Bluth's Thumbelina, I didn't realise until well into this sketch that I caught a bit of the Let Me Be Your Wings mood. Oops.

Sketchy Don Bluth Spinosaurus! I just really dig the sketchy, grainy 1980's style of animation. Figures I'd do another "pointy thing with claws" because that seems to be the only kind of art I do

Hey I'm Meeko, digital painter & cartoonist! I have a cat named Earnest and just added a bunch of plants into my life.

When I was young, I was obsessed with the works of Don Bluth before I knew his name. That harmony between cartoon and emotional gravitas deeply influenced me.

So... apparently one of my heroes Don Bluth is making a Dragons Lair movie, one of my favorite things he's ever done? I have never been this stoked for anything so i had to draw Princess Daphne. Bless 👏👏👏

My earliest furry influences were probably the Don Bluth films of the late 80's & early 90's, especially The Secret of NIMH, An American Tail, All Dogs go to Heaven, and Rock-a-Doodle. And of course, Disney movies like Robin Hood, Lady and the Tramp, and The Rescuers.

Goldie Pheasant. Leave it to Don Bluth to somehow make a bird look conventionally attractive. 😂

Here’s my half of the fifth and final art trade out of five art trades I did with as I drew him Noodle of Gorillaz in her Phase 5 look (more specifically with how she looked in Tranz) as she dances with Mrs. Toad of Don Bluth’s Thumbelina.

Arrived today.

He’s looking like he was drawn by Don Bluth, and with the Xerox process, that’d be literally true.
