Colouring remains the worst. My process is generally - do b/w tones to get correct values, shade it, then paint colours with overlay/multiply/screen as needed. But that bleaches the skin in more pigmented lighting, apparently! So gotta darken the tones to not bleach out my boyyy.

Hmm, so I kinda feel the lighting is everywhere and it needs to be more focused. I think if you take advantage of more focused light rays and darken things more on the bottom right/left and right side it could help. I kinda worked something up, sorry for butchering your art. xD
