a very obvious one but sonic 2's death egg robot (designed by Judy Totoya) is inspired by Kunio Okawara's mechanical designs, especially the Scopedog from VOTOMS, and also by the Claw Robot from Casshern (a design Totoya mistakenly thought was Okawara's)

Nefarious
This game definitely has heart, style, great character designs, and some neat ideas, but it falls short in the gameplay feel department. Its floaty, clunky, and there's some cheap shots here and there.
I like Crow and the other characters enough to go for True Ending.
