Gave myself a free hand as I did this piece. A sort of ebb and flow. If you notice the brush strokes, I made them like rivulets, to bring to one’s mind the calming motion of water.

I thought it’d be interesting to share my workflow. Usually I do a rough sketch of it. Then the front sprite based on the sketch. Then I do a basic 3d sculpt, to have a reference for the back sprite. And then I do the back sprite based on that.

Suicide Squad
The team goes to hell with Ambush Bug to find the rock of eternity. This was very different from the other issues & felt like a completely new series. Sets up alot but definitely hit the brakes hard on the current flow. Still enjoyed this overall.
