Your technique is really good! I think the issue has to do with some areas (the circled ones) needing a little more lighting. Sorta looks a little too dark compared to the rest of the hair.

The line work is good but whoever colored this piece failed miserably! There's no application of color theory. There's no light source unless they're in fluorescent studio lighting. I cant tell where Havocs head is coming from or where Wolverine's hand starts and the belt ends.

Tried a closer up version, again over Antarctica but around an equinox for lighting. Even though the land textures are not really big enough to zoom in completely, not bad. I got the cloud depth using layers of the same image.
