I was going to paint this in acrylic, but decided to make an oil sketch instead. I will probably paint this pig twice; a large version and this smaller one. I don’t usually paint on a dark ground. I usually scrub in raw umber or burnt sienna. I’m experimenting.

(elpis was 6 mounts and 12cm high, pandae will be 5 mounts and 8cm high)
