I also had to completely redo the shading because it looked very muddy (left is new, right is old). Turned out I didn't have enough contrast in the piece. Just thought that was kinda interesting and wanted to share. As someone who's self-taught everything is trial and error

DC One Million The finale. I really liked this event (for which I read all the tie-ins), and it was an interesting contrast reading it alongside Future State, which felt looser and less consistent, but also in some places (Superman, especially) more interesting.

Been training my shading while playing with contrast and saturation. I feel like my lighting knowledge is way better than before. I still hesitate between a more smooth skin or one with more visible strokes

Other than my inability to have good contrasts, you mean? 🤔 Probably the way I inhale the paint Perylene Violet-- even in pieces where you don't see purples, I can assure you it's there in the mix somewhere... It's a weird one, but it just feels wrong to paint without it...

I know the "angels & demons" theme was a chuck Austen era theme that was hinted at and never explored and quite controversial. Is there another compare and contrast duality theme in the x-men you guys lean towards? ex Pyro and iceman. Blob juggernaut ish .

this drawing of yours is pretty cool, Its soft and well done, but you could pump it up a bit more with more mood, like cooler shadows and using a contrasting background color, because its too similar to the dress
