Created this using : 1) set pen colour to match the cream background, 2) set a background colour to grey, 3) sketch the basic structure 4) drawn firm outline, 5) set background to original colour, 6) colour and shade!

Eighth step, again this is not necessary but more like a style of mine. I also add solid highlights in the edges of the outline, to make it look like the light source is hitting the skin. Don't make it too thick, a one strand is enough.

My process is pretty simple?
Watercolor texture camo print.
Red skin blush to make character look alive.
Color outline of light sources blue. Duplicate, expand, and blur for glow.
Blue highlights of cast light.
Red shadow.
Watercolor background texture.
Subtle red top gradient.

Made a quick scratch of nightmare scenario: singing "Come on Eileen" to her. I then choose to outline and color Paul. And now he looks like the adult version of Ash from Pokémon 😂😂😂

3rd: shading, gradient, highlighting, background, textures
4th: (other details) LIGHTING, filter, color balance, overlays, saturation, etc. (finished)

Got bored and didn't had the will to add details. I didn't even color the cloths 😂

I'm annoyed of my surroundings, I supposed to finish this but ughh people are annoying me.
