Can you draw with colored pencils on the surface of dry casein paint? Well, sort of. Sometimes the pencil just skids over the surface, but this time it worked. I added some details in the horn, cheek, and eye.

I don’t normally do commissions but then the last year has hardly been normal. Based on Neil Gaiman’s Sandman: Brief Lives, final art is acrylic gouache, 20x30 inches. I doubt I’ll ever do anything like this again, don’t ask!
