Square Soft's 2000 title "The Bouncer" wasn't met with huge commercial success but it is one of my favorite PS2 titles to date. The music is *INCREDIBLE* and honestly I find the gameplay fun to this day. I still have my copy too. Soooo many hours poured into it.

I just finished playing Even the Ocean yesterday and it was one of the most impactful games I've played in a while. The gameplay is so fun and satisfying, and the story was so raw, heavy, and earnest. It was beautiful. Please check it out.

355. King's Knight


One of the most unique scrolling shooters I've ever played, I enjoyed how it combined what was typically spacey lasery gameplay with my bread and butter: high fantasy swords and sorcery stuff. Don't underestimate early Square!
