夫の飛び降り自殺の目撃から始まる。哀しみを癒すためハーパーがやって来た屋敷。林檎の真っ赤な果実、薄暗い森、怪しげなトンネル。一番は "顔" 。錯覚かと戸惑うが、やっぱり同じ顔をした男たち。不穏、不気味、不の連鎖。募るのは疑問のみ。
『MEN 同じ顔の男たち』:終盤の気持ち悪過ぎる展開や、謎の綿毛(?)描写に対して『ボディ・スナッチャーズ』を当てはめたら、なんとなく腑に落ちた。
『MEN 同じ顔の男たち』:『ボディ・スナッチャーズ』の新しい解釈として、不完全な、未熟な男に罪意識を刷り込まれ、それが増幅する気持ち悪さを見出す意欲作。ホラー苦手な私としてはめちゃくちゃ怖くて涙目でしたが、このテーマであのオチは酷過ぎる気がする。辛い。
