Mom got me a cake decorating set! And new springform pans!! In preparation for 18's birthday in a couple weeks, but also because 18 and I both love making cakes and having the right tools will make it a lot easier and hopefully more fun.

I often use mid tone and or saturated colors to shade for vibrancy/life and then set the opacity to how the atmosphere needs it, makes for an easier shading progress for me
