At 1797’s battle of Cape St. Vincent, a sailor near Admiral Sir John Jervis was decapitated by a cannonball. Jervis, splattered with brains, continued in command. To an underling, he said, ‘I am not at all hurt, but, do, George, try if you can get me an orange.’ #StiffUpperBrits
