Peter Steele from Type O Negative wasn't just inspiring awesome tunes of doom, he was also inspiring comics in the '90s. They based the Witchblade lady bonerizer Ian Nottingham off Peter and he sang on the Witchblade soundtrack. More comics should have soundtracks.
My grandfather, Don Hamm, was briefly an illustrator in the ‘40s, and studied under J. Allen St John. He spent most of his career as an art director for an industrial firm, but he did some gallery art before he passed away in the ‘90s. Here’s one example.
