A school assignment I did for my favorite class so far, Art Fundamentals 2! One week was creature design and the next was character design. This guy here is a raven/lizard mix. We have a full render, rig concept, and the other mix concepts.

Metroid: Zero Mission's concept, box art, and promotional art style favored striking shadows and bold outlines, much like a comic book. This style even influenced some of the in-game sprit work and cutscenes.
