Elven Rogue by class, bard by profession. Acts like a flippant ladies' man. Good luck catching him, depression, he's behind like 7 layers of denial. (Art by @/ElfConnoisseur)

Sometimes when you have depression, a series of really good things can still make you feel bad

'Dance Marathon,' Philip Evergood (1901-1973), 1934, The Blanton Museum of Art . In this complex painting, Evergood’s work of social critique, while rooted in the Depression, is a powerful reminder of the timelessness of human desperation and cruelty.

Quick animation rough of

Animation is slowly feeling realistic to me. Whenever I feel stressed or go through a depression, I want to run back to making these as a habit. It doesn't matter whether or not others see them. The point is I just want to be able to draw.

TW// Blood, Bruises, etc.

I saw a tiktok where they drew their depression, but then I was watching a video and thought about what it feels like to have bad things happen alongside depression, and I came to this.
What it feels like when you think that things can’t get better.

Hello, I'm Shawna, a 20 y/o artist with fibromyalgia/chronic pain, depression, + anxiety. Art has been really hard to do due to the pain, and it's hard not to be able to do what I love like I used to. I hope to be able to create more art, and maybe even sell merch one day soon 💜

For context. Kiddie Kong is a character I used to not like a lot, But I started liking him in a joking way. He's a perfect amount of obscure and relevance, so he's like my favorite thing to describe battling depression, and fighting low self esteem.

Around that time I had read the book “The Man who drew Tomorrow” the story of Frank Hampton’s creative work. Such a sad story, many had made so much money from his creation. And after losing his rights he fell into depression, cancer and an attempted suicide.
A cautionary tale.

It’s Mental health & suicide prevention are so serious to me because they’ve been a big battle in my life.
Depression, addiction, & suicide are dark clouds that have followed my family for generations. That’s why I take this so seriously.
