Haven't colored in so long, man does it feel good. Decided my sona character Kazukio needed some fresh new colors. No more purple, just his naturally occurring grey highlights..I'd like to think he was self conscious for a long time and hiding it with purple.

After a long wait, I finally got this fan art done for @1397_david! I have to say that Tigre Rojo is one of the most complex characters I have ever drawn. It was very challenging, but lots of fun! Though I do need to improve my shading and highlights...

as an idea, here's a basic mock up of the final comp. Even when the characters are done I'll still need to block in a background, make Thanatos look further away (indicating distance and scale is HARD) and finalise lighting and highlights. There's a long way to go.

⑥Use an airbrush to add skin color around the face.

⑧Add an overlay layer under the layer in ⑦. Draw circles that are one size larger than the highlights.

@M00NLightNinja Oh, I see it now! She's actually not transparent, that's just the bloom I added from the background light, and combined with the shadow on her hair, it just looks like she's transparent 😅

For an ink effects icon, I had tried an ink bottle before, but it just looked like a black blob with a few highlights. Just hit me that there's nothing wrong with reflected light on the glass bottle to jazz it up some. The red spot might be too much.
Finally finished the shading and highlights. LOVE this piece. LOVE my new tablet!!!
