I finished ANJ S2, and while it had its ups and downs, I'm still glad I watched it and gained a better understanding of the many techniques Dezaki used to make this show work. At its core, it's a story with a big heart that is held down by the limitation of its time.

When I hear people say "The sky is the limit." I enjoy hearing about their obtainable goals. It's good to set checkpoints to an overarching passionate goal. But remember, there's still stars beyond our sky. The sky doesn't have to be your only limitation~

The most interesting detail about this portrait of #Mello from #DeathNote is that it's... digital! Not counting the linework, that is traditional. Else is just imitation of my regular tools (colored pencils mainly). Can you believe this?!

@msbourland Just a few examples of my work; I love trying to create an ethereal atmosphere while telling a story or conveying an emotion.

Movie [63/200] — Vampyr — [C]
Shot beautifully and manages to be unsettling, even for it’s time. A large portion of the story is told by text and limited dialogue, which was a limitation for the time, but it did drag the movie down a lot. Neat early horror film.
