We're surprised by how well it performs, and interestingly - the order in which the training data was organised had a significant impact on the final model.

Another training run on the same dataset in a different order didn't garner anywhere near the same consistency of results.

Latter, actually. I needed to make sure this model works in vrchat so I didn't use any shapekeys or drivers, just good old deform bones and rot constraints.
The belly is the densest part of the model.
The green deformer bones you see help hold up its volume like tent posts

One of the year's pictures I'm the most happy with overall. It's very on model. I think it is actually properly equal measures cute and creepy.
A lot of my drawings, even those I like, fall short of what I imagine. Skill issue.
