Two days in a row of colouring and I've probably overcooked the saturation on this one a little but still pleased with the finish on it.

fun fact about character design: saturation and color is what kinda plays a part in a character's personality. A nice friendly character has a brighter more vibrant color scheme, while negative characters are more muted or dark. This also goes for scenes that portray emotion

Alternate color schemes for that spartan-esk doodle I did the other day. And yes, by "alternate color schemes" I do mean just moving the Hue and Saturation slider adjustment for the entire image.

They made an exception for Charizard, significantly editing its shiny color, but they were fine with keeping several vomit green eyesores, or things like barely nudging the hue-saturation slider on Gengar. They should've really gone in there and gave a bunch of them the works.

For class I had to repaint an old drawing with a focus on controlled use of values and saturation. My old avi on the right was from 2014-2015ish (the proportions are still off but this was mostly just about the rendering process)

I remember when both these characters would get a lot of fanart (SFW fanart in tracer's case) that just celebrated them as gaming icons. but now I never see any of that cause they're both associated with oversaturation and bad player support. You can just 180 people's fondness.
