Fortune, which Yoji Shinkawa painted with markers to designate the character's color, emphasized the brown color.

Perhaps the above artwork has a watercolor-like taste, so the skin color was whitened. I believe the other characters were also lighter in color.

Oh yeah, also: Shinkiro's Tatsunoko vs. Capcom cover art was a direct influence on the 2nd Encore keyart, especially Ms. Fortune and Robo Fortune kicking at each other in the distance. I bet people might've figured that out, but probably didn't know I worked on both!
