Just a comparison of the old and new to show my thought process. The end result should be more like a painting, which I’m gradually pushing in that direction with each layer of sketching. Decided to turn the body bag into a guy split on a meat hook and bring ribs to the counter.

Had some fun sketching. Ended up really liking it so I colored it in. But before I did I got inspired by the show RadhaKrishn (my mom's been binge watching the show). They have some stunning sets + costume designers! I drew a sari + jewelery.

I really enjoy Ashley Wood's art. Trying to do a study or emulation piece has always felt daunting. I spent a little over an hour tonight just jamming away at 90 opacity flat brush & eraser without sketching.
I'll work on this later. It was fun.

Tokyo Station. Color first, line next method. Actually, it would have been better if I had drawn line first because after applied wash, fountain pen’s ink didn’t work well. Anyway, staying a while out door in the cloudy day is good for sketching.

No idea what typeface they used on Noli Mi Tangere, so I just traced the letters from a photo I found online & used it as inspiration to create the others. Screened cap pose from her vid, downloaded a photo of Rizal... hours of sketching... and VOILA!
