It kinda depends on what you're lookin for, if you want somethin sorta "realistic", there's Frontiers, or somethin more "stylized" (similarly to Crash 4), then ya got Prime, I personally like the Frontiers one a lil more, it reminds me of the textures he had in SA1.

when I think abt Modify, I know I designed him as like a Frankenstein creature, but I've always pictured him more as a patchwork doll, early on I imagined the different colors had different fabric textures

Sorry, but the PSX had a hardware bug that made textures wobble, all three consoles had abysmal load times, and on PC you can emulate them pixel perfect with enhanced resolution, more fps, faster loading times and even original controllers.
