Just got a chance to read A TOMATO IN CHAINS by Michael Furler (), offered in the ShortBox Comics Fair, and I liked it a lot—a striking balance between ironic whimsy and genuine sincere cleverness, with some really lovely cartooning. Just a whole lot of fun.

So Plas’ design here is based mainly off of Doc Shaner’s Terrifics look, with an added element of red and yellow of his classic look. It also has goggles similar to his classic design, but with no divider. It keeps the visual of how his Terrifics belt was in a clever way

Using teeny tiny text to obscure who wrote nice reviews is one way to go, but no one will ever be as clever as the poster designer for LEGEND who hid a 2 star review in their poster so it looked like a 4 star hidden behind Hardy's heads. https://t.co/K1cpJJl20w

Kenyon Cox ( 1856-1919) - Tradition - 1917 - Cleveland Museum of Art ... 2 figures in Grecian costumes, representing the arts of the past, pass on the eternal flame of tradition to 2 figures in Renaissance dress. Literature wears the laurel crown, & Painting holds the palette.

Finally got to read THE MANY MYTHS OF SECOND SPINE by , one of the ShortBox Comics Fair I titles was most excited about, and it was a delight—Sajan is an immensely clever cartoonist, and this was at once incredibly entertaining and extremely cool. I loved it a lot.

Day 4: (Best Boy) Maxime
Many characters in Lumi were initially presented as a common anime trope only to cleverly flip the script and reward invested players with more depth in later episodes. Maxime’s reversal was incredibly satisfying! (1/2)

“Encounters of the Wild” I feel so clever for that title it’s like taken from Y Academy but replacing N Kind with Wild like. Type: Wild
