The SPM one isn't a direct reference, but you fight Boos in a foyer similar to the one from Luigi's Mansion, so it was at least based on it.
Especially when it's something like a very common action angle and pose.
Its not ripping something off. If you see the reference, cool. It just means you know what works inspire the artist.
Tracing and referencing aren't the same thing and I'm tired of people acting like it.
