I love white/negative space in my work, and it’s possible to incorporate that! I would hope no one thinks these are whitewashed! But I didn’t paint either of these lovely folks brown, and incorporate white space, but you can tell they are dark!

Not a fact by any means, but I feel like Flora was whitewashed to appeal to Winx’s Russian audience, because the show has and will always be extremely popular there, and she now shares more visual similarities with them. Just an observation.
