A cheaper and quicker alternative for traditional art I'm considering is artistic license mixed media. These could involve a blend of marker, Posca, ink, colored pencil, gouache, and watercolor, whatever gets the job done best. They'd start at $60-70. 1/2

My grandmother gave me a book about faeries when i was very young, and the book was filled with pencil (and other traditional media) illustrations of old european folklore.
I remember thinking “I can do that too” and just started drawing, never stopped since then.

I don't know how obvious it is, but I do essentially all my lineart traditionally with ink and white gel pen on paper. Usually I need to do some editing, but I can't really do miracles at that point.
The pink here is my sketch, and the little blue is just additional shading
