Created this #cyberpunk #pixelart after inspiration from @brandonjamesgreer. I love how the gradient turned out and I actually did it by accident at first!
So I'm recently getting into doing art and Telegram stickers again. I'm using @GradientDragon as a test subject, and I am working on a trade with @PastelDawg too.
I find such peace is just drawing simple things like these!

Hello #VisibleWoman I'm Kimberly/Hann!!
I’m a Filipino artist based in Canada who works with digital and watercolour mediums. I mainly draw fanart and love to use blue and soft gradients in my works (*´꒳`*)
One day I'll actually stop playing with gradient maps and finish this drawing, but for now this will suffice

70% progress so far on lining and gradient

@cucumbercollins Cleaaaaaan lines. Gradients!! Soft pink skin, the textured feel of ur art, and this lining if hair I cant put it into words
icon vs. owner
saw this going around so I decided to give it a try!
obviously I couldn't do the green gradient on Mitsuri's hair or the two symmetrical dots on her face but I tried
Holy crap this took longer than anticipated. I was originally just gonna do up to the line art, but I wanted to practice some coloring. I used more gradients for the first one, but then went to practice a more simple style, since I wanna use that for comic pages. #sonicoc
@arythusa its flats! I think what makes it is the cohesion with the school colours, the fact that the lineart is a medium dark red multiply layer instead of a black one (multiply makes it so it adjusts to each flat colour) and also little gradients on skin!
I didn’t color this way until midway through chapter 4 of The Glass Scientists. I used to color with: A) Flat colors B) a BRIGHT AS FUCK rim light C) a gradient bounce light from below.
OKAY HERE’S WHERE IT STARTS TO GET WEIRD
Next I select the OPPOSITE of the shadow layer and fill in the whole area with a bright-ass highlight color on HARD LIGHT. Then I heavily erase with a gradient brush until I get a midtone color that feels “right”

Also just for fun, here's the version I made for the tutorial VS the original piece I made for a zine! See the difference between the two gradient maps?
Sharing the b/w values of an old WIP bc I just realized I never share my stuff in it's black and white phase. 90% of the time I start paintings like this. The colored side has some basic flats and gradient maps. Once finished, I merge everything & polish.
