Para habitar este mundo robot, los Grandes Seres crearon a los Matoran, a imagen y semejanza de los agori pero mucho mas tecnológicos que orgánicos y sin voluntad propia. Solo trabajarían en las distintas islas de las cúpulas para mantener al robot, cuya IA se llamaría MataNui
El mayor proyecto que habían llevado a cabo estos Grandes Seres fue la creación de un Dios Robot gigantesco con control sobre la gravedad, la materia y la biología. Este Robot podría modificar SpherusMagna según las necesidades de los habitantes o viajar buscando otros mundos.
La raza guerrera eran los Glatorian, con las mismas características biológicas que los agori pero mas altos, fuertes y ágiles. Estos protegían a los agori de sus tribus de los atques de otros grupos, o de los depredadores tecnoorgánicos, muy habituales en el planeta.
