Going on a 9 day vacation tomorrow, so i thought I'd give a quick update. I've been experimenting with various hair placement techniques in Maya using the gs curve tool on half of the head and will make the final mesh when i return- lookdev in UE5 (18,000 Tris)

technically I've been using CSP more than usual. almost all of the symmetrical sketches I've done for the Live2D models were done in CSP with the symmetry tool

somewhat quality export, since original drawing was import. 8hours post import condensed. i’ll get the hang of it eventually! neat gaussian blur trick i learned recently n used for the first time here i’m really happy with though i need to work out procreate fill tool nuance

The way I found that works for me is sections and shapes if that make sense. And as for shading, I literally just color a part of the hair and use a blending tool to smush it around until I like it.

I'd love a chance to be able to further my skills on a tablet! Any digital work I've done has been done using illustrator in my spare time at work and it's not the same using the pen tool over drawing it.
