A little peek into the process - I always try and keep big paintings like this in grayscale as long as possible because values speak so much louder than color!

Yeah, the inner linework has a different color for a reason! So in my experience, different line color within a prop it's a self-color line. The Color Designer will know I intended for that shape to not have any lineart in the color stage. I also do rims/lighting with self-color!
