@Just_some_Ghost Second thing, then the first.
I Tone it out normally first, then convert the flat tones to halftone using the bitmap method, but I lose a lot of contrast doing that, so just as you said I cheat the different shades after the fact to punch it up a little.
It may be madness but there's always a method to it.
