In BN1-5, his sword is a cylinder arm similar to his normal glove. It matches ElecSword’s chip portrayal of his sword arm (the anime changed it so this was Elec’s arm for everyone).

Glove as the sword arm thing is consistent for all Navis, with BN6’s MegaMan being the oddity.

I was looking at the battle sprites of MegaMan again a while ago, and it got me thinking how the Sword Battle Chip has become the defacto MegaMan sword weapon in promo material.

But in the games, he doesn’t use it as his sword arm until Battle Network 6.
