In Epsilon, you are able to make blueprints which are a group of objects put together into a "single object". Then you can spawn them in any place you wish! Here is a cool example of several blueprints rearranged into a beautiful manor!

I WENT SO LONG RARELY WORKING WITH LAYERS but I use layers for all my sceneries like this now. I always divide them up like this too. Ground/sky on bottom, distant background stuff above that, midground and key objects above that, and then foreground at the top
