I think one of my favourite trope is when enemies talk calmly on their deathbeds, or similar tropes.
Fight's over, no hard feelings. Do they deserve it? Maybe not. But they're already dying anyways; the last moments are peaceful. Resigned. Maybe even amiable.
It's...nice.
