I add colors onto the grayscale with overlay, color, and multiply layers where ever i need to. The skin and the hair and eyes and such are all on overlay layers and blush on a multiply. U dont have to do it exactly like this. Just mess around with colors and layer effects.

Details! I’ve kinda embraced the idea of mixed media collage! A lot of the sketchy lines and overlayed lineart, as well as the ominous Light were some doodles and ideas I had for the composition and just decided to use for texture! I also stopped overblending all my shading!

I do think I got really lucky choosing what shade would overlay on the tiles for day/night/blood moon, because it always turns out looking alright as long as I keep my values up.

The textures themselves dont match UVs properly so heres a comparison
The third image shows this overlay. Near the bottom right you can see where the change is most present, the original red belt is still there just painted over. UVs moved so just draw over it
