i'm not even a huge fan of the adventure games, but i can definitely tell the problems i have with them aren't due to age at all - everything works relatively ok and the fast sonic gameplay is adapted pretty decently

Got a lot of Opinions about this one, but tldr; visually, it's SPECTACULAR, really amazing stuff, nice gameplay & love how they expanded on the city, characters, etc. but the story... they FUCKED it up. Really ruined it with those changes, man

Final Takeaway: Trials of Mana Remake is a fun game. The gameplay is this game's biggest strength. The English VO is odd, the story is a bit bland but the visuals and the gameplay are pretty solid. I would personally wait for this game to go on sale but worth a pick up.

In conclusion. Tango Gameworks, tried some new things to spice up the gameplay loop of the first game at the cost of losing a little bit of the charm of the original had. Still its a great survival horror game with a lot to give with it's interesting set pieces and fun combat!
