Kiseru (煙管) is Japanese smoking pipe. It was invented around 1610's after tobacco got into the country in 1570s from Portugal. It was okay for kids in 17th century to smoke. Now we have electric Kiseru with USB charger.

Happy International Women's Day!

Susanna and the Elders, 1610, by Artemisia Gentileschi, and the underpainting, restored by Kathleen Gilje via x-ray, depicting a woman having to choose between either death, or rape. Gentileschi was only 17 when she painted this.
