かつて北大西洋の島々に生息した80㎝5㎏と大型の海鳥。ペンギンとは別種だが、同じく飛べないが泳ぐと速かった。人間にとって肉も卵も美味で油も羽毛も活用できるこの鳥は人間を全く警戒しない事が致命傷となり、呆気なく絶滅させられた。そんな鳥達をよくも。
