🦋 Butterfly wing scales of a painted lady. A section of a 20:1 panorama picture which consists of 9 areas. The section shows my absolute "favorite spot" on the underside of the front wing. The wing veins seem like thick tree trunks delicately embedded in a colorful plumage.

I found past auction listings for originals of "Understanding Comics" and...yeah, seems Scott McCloud didn't use waterproof ink. Because YIKES at these water damage.

In general, if you ink traditionally you can use whatever, but seriously consider waterproof ink
