I tried coloring outlines...It didn't seem to go quite well

Blender voodoo. I draw the two outlines, turn them into thick spaghetti shapes, then use a boolean modifier to only keep where they overlap. Pretty easy to do.

Which is a shame, because they were all upgraded with fully modeled body details, mouths and eyes

So I am noticing that with the exception of really small canvases , most of my large pixel art benefits from having no outlines and just being on a black background.

Spent some time reworking the starter sprites from Pokemon Red and Blue. I mainly focused on:
1. Using black beyond just outlines (deeper shading)
2. Texture and shape clarity (Squirtle's tail especially)
3. Nicer clusters that follow light source

Did you know? Almost all HEADSPACE characters have purple outlines, to distinguish them from FARAWAY characters (who have black outlines).

The only exception is LIFE JAM GUY. This is because he is real, and he is rapidly approaching your location.
