It's been a little quiet as we're hard at work on the CARI website, but I did find this time capsule of late 1990s tech-optimism, 'This is How the Future Began'.

It's filled w/ 'Cyber Corporate' style graphics and predictions like 'by 2015 we'll have holographic busts of Mozart'

I tried to do a somewhat chronological order of his journey. Optimism into overconfidence, interest into Feelings, and by the end there’s a theme of accepting your faults and moving ahead rather than letting them hold you back.
(Runaway is my fave track for him, I get teary 🥺)

Let's do this w/ Emilia 🐝 (image by @/nighrea):

- Her excess optimism can cloud her judgment.

- She rarely asks for help because she takes the idea of self-responsibility way too seriously. Ironic considering that she loves helping others out.

- She's fearful of earthquakes. https://t.co/WZGB2cInHZ

Second we have SILVER BOI.
I admire his optimism during hopeless events.

Lately he's mostly been in the games just for fanservice (what a bummer).

I want people to see the potential within this character.
And I hope for his own game, like Shadow has.

Silver is relevant too!

"Here is Spring" is an exuberant painting by Mary Chaplin, an artist who lives in Wailly, a beautiful village in France. She brings eternal optimism through her nature-inspired paintings and says "I have above all a love of light and nature." https://t.co/xqXt5zc4wF

Lucky’s greatest strength is his optimism and his confidence in his magic skills

His weakness is that he’s a little clumsy and has a tendency to be a little hard headed and rash. https://t.co/2pTTgq7Yg8

went left wyoming to join the navy, having been home-schooled his entire life. His wide-eyed optimism has somehow remained intact for 40+ years. Elliott got into a prestigious music uni on a scholarship, and noticeably stuck out among his middle/high class peers.

It's been exactly 1 year since I first drew this self-aware bastard that is the personification of my optimism. I've improved a lot, hopefully. Also an alt because I was playing around with colors and found them to look cool in dark purple. Enjoy! ( ╹▽╹ )

In paintings by Mary Chaplin the flowers are always in bloom in a gorgeous array of colors. The extraordinary painter conveys optimism and the life-affirming energy of the natural world. She combines elements of impressionism and abstraction. https://t.co/xqXt5zc4wF

They're the reason I fell in love with the series long ago. Her optimism and kind nature was enough to change how Sesshomaru felt about Humans. That's a bond that can never be broken. 💞
