Blender voodoo. I draw the two outlines, turn them into thick spaghetti shapes, then use a boolean modifier to only keep where they overlap. Pretty easy to do.

So I am noticing that with the exception of really small canvases , most of my large pixel art benefits from having no outlines and just being on a black background.

Spent some time reworking the starter sprites from Pokemon Red and Blue. I mainly focused on:
1. Using black beyond just outlines (deeper shading)
2. Texture and shape clarity (Squirtle's tail especially)
3. Nicer clusters that follow light source
