Watched Vinland Saga in 2019 and loved it and decided to hit the manga in 2020. Great characters, amazing setting, and beautiful storytelling. Art is gorgeous and the arcs are awesome! Vinland Saga is just a marvel to behold.

I'll always firmly assert that animation is *not* a genre. Just like live action, it's an art medium used for storytelling. You can have a comedic animation, or a dramatic animation... but you can't have an animated animation. That's just silly... and redundant.

idk how araki's art is, in a technical sense, both really good and really off.
like, on one hand, he Constantly nails character design and linework and backgrounds and storytelling. but then also you get stuff like this where everyone is floating and phasing through each other
