Felix Bürkner competed in individual dressage for Germany at the 1912 Games. In WW1, he commanded a German cavalry squadron. He continued to serve in the Reichswehr after the war and during WW2, he was the head of the Army Riding School in Krampnitz.

‘Return to the Trenches’ is an art piece by Christopher Nevinson. He was unable to enlist in the British army due to health reasons. In fall 1914, he volunteered for a Red Cross ambulance unit serving in northern France and Belgium.

'Head of a Man.' (1919) Frank Dobson began as a painter though after WW1 turned toward sculpture. Throughout the 1920s and 30s he built a reputation as an outstanding artist and was among the first to prefer direct carving of the material rather than modelling a maquette first.

Je-oh's birth flower is the Red Poppy. The symbolism of it on his profile is Consolation. But apart from that, Red Poppies also symbolize Remembrance, Death, Sacrifice, & Undying Love. These flowers are often linked to the fallen soldiers of WW1.

マイクロビルドを作りたくなる気持ち、何だかわかったような気がしました。一通りの艦種もできたし、これでフィギュアゲームもできそうだなあ。

元ネタはWW1当時の補給艦。名前の元ネタはこのタイプの商船を改修したQシップ「ファーンバラ」。存外、艦橋の大きさと船体のバランスをとるのが難しかったです。恒常的にマイクロビルドを作られる方のバランス感覚を改めて実感する良い機会となりました。

元ネタはWW1で兵員輸送艦・武装商船として活躍した客船「カーマニア」。客船らしいフォルムにするのって案外難しいのだなあと実感。とはいえ、大きいと設計はかなりしやすいものですね。
