If it's truly just kinetic energy like they say, the buildings should have been destroyed, and the ops Aura should have been broken from the impact (Ghira's went out by a bullet) we see them clearly take.

If it just affects Grimm.. again, why the blow back?

this is Mara !! she is an enderman and guardian hybrid.
she was raised purely by endermen, so she speaks fluent ender and also is deathly afraid of water even though it doesn't actually hurt her ! she also emits mining fatigue when she is anxious that affects herself and others
