The official continuity is now Bluto and Brutus are twin brothers. In the TV cartoons Brutus was more of a “‘60s domestic WASP who tries too hard” rather than Bluto’s “tough guy on the street” so I like this explanation from an anniversary comic that Brutus is determined but dumb

I believe Jim Corrigan should be considered one of the best detectives DC has to offer. He’s over a 100 years old (depends on the continuity I suppose). Plus he is The Spectre as well which helps a lot.

Why do fans and characters alike tend to ignore Corrigan?
