My ridiculous morning warmup of the because that’s a thing we are doing💞🌙

I went for an exaggeration of an anime/Burton-inspired (🥺/☠️) look then added my typical button nose I put on everyone

After therapy today, I realized I’m really burnt out which is exaggerating my depression and anxiety.

I’m trying to focus on resting over what I “could” or “should” be doing.

Starting tomorrow, self-care, self-care, self-care. 🥰

Flashback to 10 years ago(!) when I was working on promo art. This was the art direction : “splashy color, rough, energy”
Mid image was my exaggeration of the original sketch. Final rough. They ended up using another artist’s rendition that was more impressionistic.

I'd like to practice simplicity and exaggeration more often and drawing Ren seemed like a good exercise.

I forgot to post this when I finished it 4/2. Idk how I feel about it now, but you can see that I made a more simple background to finish on time. I should still probably finish the other background though, since I’ve spent probably 100hrs on it (not exaggerating)

Time for our second bi-weekly prompt: Emojis! Focus on simplicity and exaggerating a character's key features so it looks good on a small scale. It's surprisingly tricky! Have fun with it and remember to tag your work with

" Why's Velma so short?"

1.) Dwarfism is indeed a real life thing!

2.) This is an insane overexaggeration of the style, born out of wanting to explore new dynamics.

3.) She's friggin' EDNA MODE now & that is NOT a bad thing!

4.) This changes NOTHING for her, strength-wise.

Commission work - ... side note, drawing yoga poses (dumb exaggerations aside) is really difficult tricky practice.

!! CALLING ALL ARTISTS !!
I'd like to request help getting these characters to be ever so slightly more anatomically correct without sacrificing the exaggeration.

Basically, if they're big, I want to know how to keep them like that while appearing more natural.

I know this sounds kinda weird, but around that time I hit some rough patches in my education and my job. I don't think I'm exaggerating when I say that these two, along with friends like Farx, definitely helped me get through all that.
