Unite the opposites. Find the balance & simplicity. Exercise freedom in the level of abstraction used to render the subject. https://t.co/g9tGVg50m3

Here's another set of commissions! Some from this year some from the last. More fun monsters; my favorite subject.

2 out of the 4 moods I need to do for my Digital Illustration subject. Magical (left) and Fury (right).

Still new with creating and adjusting moods plus colors, I hope I did it right

Hijra. In the Indian subcontinent, Hijra are eunuchs, intersex and transgender people (about 5 million). Violence against hijras is often brutal. As with LGBT+ people in most of the world, they face extreme discrimination in every area of life.
Few people take up this subject.

The first one is a pig/wolf hybrid, second is a pumpkin monster, third is multiple species(hyena/zebra/dog/wolf/dragon/etc), and the last one is a test subject, they are a corgi but like I said, test subject. So they have metal teeth and metal horns. Their name is Danger

Sometimes character design is just so good you override your knowledge on a subject. And if that influences you to get into a show, even better! But Bleach is a tad long to wait for Nel xD

Now, if I get more fit (almost there) I’m dying to do Berserker Tetsuuan Birdy. Goals

Tried out a new eye technique, using eridan as test subject. In the end i couldn't follow it at all and winged it.. this is fine. Thank you to those who joined the stream!

Challenging theme and subject. Means suggestions will undoubtedly be subject to your own school context (class sensitivity, suitability etc. ) and personal opinion. I’ve shared these in the past. Some are situated within the World Wars, others cover the theme of war.

Luminogram and a cliche verre with luminogram. Two different interpretations of the same subject. Both silver gelatin unique prints.

studies of sewing women had a rich legacy in Dutch art. It is noteworthy to compare Nicholas Maes 17th century red chalk drawing with Vincent's pencil & chalk rendition of a similar subject. Maes floods his figure in light whereas Van Gogh shades his figure in shadow.

Thank you! And here's my process pretty much:

1. Make the "structure" of the drawing.
2. Make a rough of the subject. Generally getting an idea of what I want it to look like.
3. Refine it a bit more/clean it up (might be repeated).
4. Lines, colors, shading, etc.

It spooky month.
As seems to be tradition(?) for me in October, I tried something a little different, and Virva seemed to be a great test subject.

Just found this pencil drawing. Tone is so important when painting any subject.
